Of all the well known brands out there, Betty Crocker, is one of my favorites. I truly enjoy their recipes, not to mention the wide variety of recipe categories they have on their website.
Well, earlier this morning as I was browsing through some of my emails, I found one from Betty Crocker. The email consisted of all different types of recipes that can be prepared for Cinco de Mayo, which just happens to be this Saturday.
Of course, I was immediately drawn to the email looking for a new recipe to try. Good news is, while I was clicking through the pages I found a recipe that would be perfect for anyone to make on Saturday because it is made in the slow cooker..Score!
Just take a look at their photo – it is to die for!

I can definitely see myself preparing this recipe this weekend. As for my family, I think I will add some cubed chicken breast meat, just for a little more variety. Now, that I think of it, any type of meat would probably work just fine in this recipe. Other than that I don’t foresee any other changes I would make.
However, if you are not necessarily a meat-lover, or just interested in preparing something a little different on Saturday, please visit my magazine, LatinCookingDiva, where I have posted a simple yet delicious Meatless Cinco de Mayo Celebration Menu.
