It’s Monday morning – the start to a new week which just so happens to be the last week of January. For most of us the end of the month tends to be the busiest – deadlines are due, scheduling activities for the upcoming month are added, monthly budgets are revised….the list goes on and on.
One of the easiest and healthiest ways to prepare ourselves for days like this is by preparing a detox drink recipe.
A detox drink recipe not only helps us feel better after over indulging on food or beverages; but a detox drink can also give our bodies a boost of vitamins and minerals – which will help both our bodies and minds to cope with a hectic schedule.
Okay, with that being said, let’s take a look at one detox drink recipe I came across in an issue of Red Bulletin Magazine USA.
Cocktail Wellness {Detox Drink Recipe}
Ingredients:
- 3 oz. Carpe Diem, Quince Juice Kombucha
- 1.5 oz. pineapple juice
- 1.5 oz plain yogurt
- Crushed Ice
- 2 tsp. honey
- Edible flowers – optional
Method:
- Put the tea (Carpe Diem), pineapple juice, yogurt and crushed ice into a blender.
- Add in honey. {honey is added last because if not, honey will stick to the bottom of the pitcher}
- Blend until completely smooth.
- Pour detox drink into a glass and garnish with the edible flowers.
Side Notes:
Curious to find out exactly what Carpe Diem Kombucha Quince is? Here is what I found out: “a non-alcoholic drink. It is produced by fermenting a careful selection of herbal teas with Kombucha cultures…beneficial constituents such as organic acids and carbohydrate-cleaving enzymes are produced that give this beverage its digestible character. Quince juice, extracts of white tea and vanilla round off the taste.”

Angie – I found a moderate sized bottle of Carpe Diem online at Amazon. The cost was under $10, if I am not mistaken – but regardless, the cost was much lower than what I originally expected.
This sounds like something I want to try. Thanks for sharing.
